Contributions to Bill Sargent for Congress are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. All contributions are subject to the limitations and prohibitions of federal law: multicandidate PACs may contribute up to $5,000 per election; non-multicandidate PACs and individuals may contribute up to $2,500 per election; married couples may contribute up to $5,000 per election from their joint funds. (The primary and general elections are considered to be separate elections.)  Contributions from corporations, labor unions, national banks, foreign nationals, federal government contractors or the funds of any other person or entity are prohibited.  Federal law requires us to use best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation and employer of any individual whose contributions to Bill Sargent for Congress exceed $200.
